Sofia Almeida Cantante
The owner of House Shine Cleaning Services. I was born June 6, 1989, in Portugal and 5 years ago made a leap of faith and moved to Canada with my family in search of a better life and opportunities for our children. We could not have chosen a better country to make this possible for such a life changing decision.
Since my arrival in Canada, I have always worked in the cleaning industry. My first two years were spent learning the work and market here during my time working overnights cleaning banks. My husband, Tiago, worked during the day when I would watch our children, and then I would work at nights, when he would be able to watch out children. Our youngest son, Santiago, was only a few months old and our oldest daughter, Mariana, was 6 years
old.
Once our youngest son was enrolled in Junior Kindergarten, I was able to work during the day in the cleaning industry. During this time, I moved to a different cleaning company that delt with residential cleaning. This is when I was able to further my knowledge in the cleaning industry and learned that I have a passion for ensuring everyone comes home to a clean house. It brought me immense pride and fulfillment knowing I was providing everyone with an exceptional service day in and day out.
In June of 2024, I made another major leap of faith. I would constantly ask myself, "why not start my own business, and train those who work with me to meet my level of excellence?". This is when I decided to start House Shine Cleaning Services, where my passions and dreams are coming to life! I made sure to follow all the appropriate steps to opening a business. From all my previous experience in the cleaning industry we know that clients want peace of mind and security, and I am happy to share that House Shine Cleaning Services is a registered business with insurance.
